Awful customer service
I recently purchased a pair of Skechers shoes from this location and tried them on at home for less than an hour because they immediately hurt my feet. They weren't damaged, dirty, or heavily worn; just briefly tested indoors to see if they'd break in comfortably. How else are you supposed to know if shoes truly fit and feel right without wearing them for a short time?
When I returned to the store to explain the issue and request a return or exchange, the associate was extremely rude and dismissive right from the start. She acted like the shoes were nasty and completely unwearable, even though they were practically new with no real wear. She claimed she went in the back to talk to the manager, but when we specifically asked to speak to the manager ourselves, she first said no manager was on the clock, then flipped and admitted she was the manager in charge. The inconsistency and attitude were unbelievable.
Skechers' policy may technically require shoes to be unworn, but refusing a return on shoes tried on briefly for comfort (with no damage) feels unfair and poorly handled here. Many stores understand that footwear needs a real test, especially ones marketed for comfort. Instead of any attempt to help or even basic politeness, we got attitude and a snarky smart comment as we walked out the door.
Avoid this location if you value decent service. I'll be shopping elsewhere and warning friends—poor management and zero customer care. 1 star is generous.

Verified Reviewer |Bought a Skechers go walk. I'm 81 yo, these shoes have a high lift at back of heel (on sole). While wearing these, one tends to fall backwards!! Very dangerous for colder folks. Wrote Skechers but no.
No response after filling out their complaint form. I feel I should get refunded. I feel ignored, and they don't care about their customers.

I haven't had these shoes maybe a year and didn't wear them every day. I swap up, have a black pair and a white pair, paid 98.00.
Never paid that for shoes before to have the sole come loose on one, and the other is fixing to do the same. I am not hard on shoes; usually, they last a couple of years, but it seems the more they cost, the cheaper they are made.

Skechers answer to my problem was for me to join the pissed consumers group for $10 a month! They did not address my issue AT ALL.
So I bought another pair to replace them. The design that is on the top of the shoe is now made with decals or something. The dots on the top of my shoe started to disappear the FIRST TIME I WORE THEM, leaving a big blank space. So I returned them, hoping it was a fluke.
The pair I bought to replace them did the same thing. But because I need a pair of shoes to wear so I can play, I am walking around with shoes that have a big blank spot on both tops. It has gotten worse since the pic.
When I tried to write a complaint, Skechers wants me to pay 9.99 in order to belong to their pissed consumer group. I'm pissed for sure!

Prior to that, used 2 weeks & stored in a box. Flap, flap, flap... walked right out of them. Sketchers just told me they don't last if stored in a box for 6 months.
Go with Rocky boots. They back them up; they last years. No more Sketchee Sketchers for us.

Today I went into the Skechers store on Route 3 in New Jersey to purchase a pair of sneakers. They had buy one, get the second at half off.
I ended up attempting to purchase three pairs of sneakers. I walk with a cane and was having difficulty maneuvering around the store. Many of the sales associates were very kind, very thoughtful, and very helpful, except one manager, Ashley. Very rude, very demeaning, and should not hold this position.
Of course, I had an issue with a sneaker being marked down that they claimed was not marked down. To make a long story short, Ashley claimed she could not sell the sneaker because she could not find the box! Well, after a verbal confrontation, I did inform Ashley that she is very rude and should not talk to customers the way she was speaking to me. I did not buy any items from that Skechers store!
I am not in the habit of spending my hard-earned money at stores that have no respect for me. Once I called Ashley out for her disgusting demeanor, she told me to get out of the store and threatened to call the police or security. I am an adult female in my 50s, and I do not expect to go into a Skechers store or any other store and have a 20-something-year-old talk down to me with that type of disrespect. I intend to take this issue further and expect to see some type of reprimand.
As someone who has worked in customer service for quite a large portion of my life, this type of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. I love the Skechers brand.
I've spent quite a bit of my money there. I definitely will not be spending my money at the Skechers outlet store on Route 3 in Clifton.

I have loved Skechers forever. I bought a pair of slip-on sandals and loved them until my feet started swelling up and bulging over the straps.
So I continued to wear them, hoping the straps would stretch, but nope. They are so sturdily built that they stay out.
So I'm only allowed to wear them for a couple of hours before I have to take them off and wear my old favorites. I'm sad!

They should have looked EXACTLY how they did as you left the store the first time. It sounds like they did not.
Actually they did still had the original tags and stickers still attached and all the original packaging like I said they never saw the outside world I didn't remove the tags just wore them around the house for less than an hour and they where killing my foot. Tell me exactly how am I supposed to know the shoes are uncomfortable if I don’t atleast put them on?
